PlayStation Plus subscribers will get access to three games in May: Electronic Arts’ Battlefield 5, Bugbear Entertainment’s Wreckfest, and Beam Team Games’ Stranded Away. Sony Interactive Entertainment announced Wednesday that the free trio of PS Plus will be available for download from May 4 to May 31.
battlefield 5 is developer DICE’s return to the era of WWII shooters. First released in 2018, PlayStation 4 games are supported through 2020 with a series of updates, including the addition of Battlefield heist to the battle royale gameplay, Firestorm. DICE and publisher EA recently teased the upcoming reveal of Battlefield 6 (or whatever they call it), which is slated for release later this year.
Wreckfest is a fantastic Bugbear demolition derby racing game, and one of our favorites on Xbox Game Pass — so it’s a nice PlayStation Plus bonus. Stranded Away for PS4 puts players in the role of a plane crash survivor, who must fend for themselves on the high seas, managing thirst, hunger and environmental exposure in order to survive. There are also sharks.
PlayStation Plus April Games (strange world: Storm of the soul, Days pass, and Zombie Army 4: Dead War) is still available for download until Monday, May 3.
Update (4 May): PS Plus May games now available on the PlayStation Store:
